What changes the price of a website
Two sites that look the same can cost different amounts. The difference comes from what the site does behind the scenes and how much work the texts and photos take.
Number of pages
A business website usually has up to 5 pages. Each extra page means text, photos and checking it on a phone.
Texts and photos
We write the texts from what you tell us and from your Google profile. Many services or products mean more to write and prepare.
Bookings and orders
A form that sends the request on WhatsApp is simple. A calendar with free times, several specialists and email reminders takes more work.
Online payment
Card payment, in full or as a deposit, means connecting a payment processor, confirmations and refunds.
Links to other software
Invoicing, couriers, stock, Booking.com or the till. Each link is built and tested separately.
Languages
A site in Romanian and English has two sets of texts to write and keep up to date.
Products
For a shop, it matters how many products there are, how many variants they have and whether we import them from a file or from other software.
What it costs per month
The business website costs €19 + VAT a month. That covers:
- Hosting and security certificate
- Backups
- Small changes, up to 2 hours a month
- Opening hours and price updates
- Cancel any time
For sites with bookings, orders or an online shop, the monthly cost is in the quote, because it depends on what the site does.
Other costs worth knowing about
- You buy the .ro domain in your name, for about €10 a year, paid directly to the company you buy it from.
- If you take card payments, the payment processor keeps a fee from each transaction. The contract with them is in your company's name.
- For an online shop, you pay the courier for delivery under your own contract with them.
- Google or Facebook ads are separate and optional. The site works without them.
A first-year calculation
For a business website, at the starting prices:
- The website, paid once
- €300 + VAT
- Maintenance, 12 months at €19
- €228 + VAT
- Total in the first year
- €528 + VAT
Plus the domain, about €10 a year.
From the second year you only pay maintenance, €228 + VAT a year, plus the domain.
You pay for the site in two parts: a 50% deposit once you accept the offer and the rest at launch. Maintenance is invoiced monthly and you can cancel at any time.
Yourself, a freelancer or a company
Each option makes sense for someone. What matters is how much time you have and who answers when something breaks.
Doing it yourself
On a website builder you pay a monthly subscription and add the texts, photos and settings yourself. It costs little money and a lot of time. It works if you enjoy it and have free evenings.
With a freelancer
Someone who builds websites on their own can be a good choice. Ask up front who handles hosting and changes after launch, and whose name the domain is in.
With a company
You usually pay more and get an invoice, a contract, written deadlines and someone who still answers two years later. Prices vary a lot between companies, so ask for a written quote with everything it includes.
At Strada Mare
Our prices are public, from €300 + VAT. Within 48 hours you see, for free, a site made for your business, before you pay anything. The domain is in your name, and if you cancel maintenance we hand over the site files.
What to ask before paying for a website
- Whose name is the domain in?
- What does the monthly cost include, and what is paid separately?
- Who writes the texts and who picks the photos?
- How long until it's live?
- What happens to the site if you stop working together?
- Do you get an invoice for everything?
Questions about website prices
Why are the prices "from"?
Because every business needs something different. The starting price covers the basic version of the package. You get the exact price in writing within 48 hours of telling us what you want.
Do prices include VAT?
No. All prices on the site exclude VAT, which is added on the invoice. We invoice through CLT NEW AGE SRL, a VAT-registered company.
Does it cost anything to see the site first?
No. Within 48 hours you see, for free, a site made for your business, on a link you open on your phone. You only pay the deposit if you accept the offer.
Can I add bookings or a shop later?
Yes. You can start with a business website and add bookings, orders or a shop to the same site when you need them. You get the price for the new part in a quote at that point.
How much do changes cost after launch?
Small changes, up to 2 hours a month, are included in the business website's maintenance. For bigger work we tell you the price before we start.
What happens if I cancel maintenance?
You can cancel at any time. The domain stays yours, and we hand over the site files so you can move it wherever you like.
Why not just pick the cheapest offer?
It may be the right choice. Just check what the price includes: texts, hosting, changes, the domain in your name. A low offer can hide a high monthly cost or a site you can't move.
